Training and Supervision for Coaches &Therapist/Coaches
If you’re like most psychotherapists or counselors, you’re working within a model of healing that is, itself, oftentimes stagnant, to be honest (and polite). If it’s time for a change, consider augmenting your psychotherapy practice with what is referred to as “life coaching”. If you’re also seeking to add a spiritual and metaphysical component to your existing therapy or coaching practice, I’d love to show you what that means, how I do it, and how you can as well. Get excited.

As a clinician with almost 30 years of experience, I understand the DSM and the prevailing approach still used by most therapists which is often largely based on a psychoanalytical orientation of insight = change. Despite the best of intentions, I believe that paradigm is not helping enough people, enough of the time. I believe that help is available, healing is accessible and change is do-able. That’s why I offer a unique blend of therapy and coaching and teach others how to do the same.

On the back end, I’ll guide you with your marketing including on-line strategies, and make you aware of the vital importance of search engine optimization (SEO) and other facets of attracting clients and building a robust practice.
Spiritual Coaching
I’ve been a student and teacher of Eastern and Western approaches to healing and change - from meditation and guided imagery/visualization, to Emotional Freedom Technique, hypnotherapeutic techniques, and conscious breath-work. For years I have been a student and teacher of A Course in Miracles, and I integrate The Course with the ancient wisdom of "The Secret" Law of Attraction, the work of Eckhart Tolle, the work of Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, and other energy workers, spiritual teachers, and metaphysicians.
High School & College Grads, Career-Changers & Burned-Out Therapists
Are you thinking about college and interested in the healing arts but don’t have a clue where to start looking on a career path? Or perhaps you have a degree in counseling or psychology but need direction? Or are you one of the masses of psychotherapists burned-out from “compassion fatigue” or just plain exhausted and want to infuse your practice with something really, really exciting that really works?
I’m a licensed psychotherapist and a retired attorney, with years of training and experience and certifications in Life Coaching, EMDR, Reiki, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) and Employee Assistance Programs, I’ll help you understand the vast landscape of what’s out there in the helping professions in general, including the healing arts and the world of psychology and mental health. We’ll explore what suits you best, i.e. what your calling is, and help you devise a strategy or game plan to get there – whether that ultimately involves working with me as your mentor or not.

I can and will help you understand the landscape of the helping professions, certifications, and disciplines, and embark on co-creating your career path. I’ve done this with countless others and would love to help you create your dream career helping others.
What’s Out There in Life Coach Training?
There are a million and one very lengthy, expensive courses and “certifications” in Life Coaching that will be more than happy to take a down-payment of thousands of dollars from you right now. Some are very good; some perhaps not. I’ll explain what most programs typically offer. You may decide to take that route. If it feels to me that it would benefit you to embark on life coaching training through a certification program, I’ll share that with you. However, it’s not the be-all and end-all for everyone and is certainly not, in my view, necessary for all would-be coaches. I’ll explain why.
In my view, Life Coaching certification programs are not always necessary for psychotherapists who want a paradigm shift into the world of life coaching and/or spiritual coaching. I’ll help you learn what you need to know to practice life coaching, relationship coaching, and spiritual coaching.

Namaste,
